Two boozy students downed more than 165 pints on an epic journey that's set to get the 'World's longest pub crawl' - so far they're only halfway through. Harry Bellow, 24, and Elliot Blake, 25, graduated from university and decided to gloat so set off with all the wearing apparel they could comport and simply £2,000 in cash.

They plan to walk more than than 3,000 miles beyond 12 countries - all on a shoestring budget. They came upwards with the idea because they needed something to do and had "bleak career prospects", so they just set off on pes. They now have over 10 million views and 130K followers on TikTok after trekking from the Netherlands to Turkey, and the pair hope to reach their final stop of Istanbul, Turkey, by October afterward roughly 120 days.

Harry said: "So many people have shown us kindness on our trip and offered us enough of beers. It's been life-changing.

"Elliot and I wanted to see the world in a dissimilar way and I recall the world's longest pub clamber is the manner to do it.

"We both wanted to practice something we would never forget and we wanted to exist immersed in nature and to see Europe in a way that would open our eyes.

"We met once a calendar week just to talk over what we would do. In that location was a lot of enquiry needed, as nosotros had to discover out nearly visas and conditions.

"Nosotros could simply stay in the Schengen zone which covers most of Europe for ninety days, which was difficult, as ninety days is the limit for the tourist visa.

"And we didn't want to get arrested at the border. And so we picked some countries on the trail outside the Schengen zone like Croatia."

Eventually, in May, they decided on a 3,200-mile route which would take them through 12 countries - the netherlands, Germany, Czechia, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Republic of albania, Kosovo, Northward Republic of macedonia, Republic of bulgaria, Hellenic republic, and finally Turkey.

Starting 20ft beneath sea level in the netherlands, at their highest indicate at the showtime of October, they will be ix,555ft to a higher place ocean level on the Musala mount, the highest peak in the Rila mount range in Bulgaria.

Their journey will also run into them walk beyond stunning, sunny Croatian beaches and through the Austrian Alps.

Describing the excitement leading up to the trip, Harry said: "I was just total of wanderlust, I wanted to run across the world. I was raised in a chimera in the suburbs and wanted to encounter what was out there.

"When nosotros were discussing it, I was then excited but a piffling humble, because it was such a large chunk of time and I knew it was going to be painful.

"I couldn't wait to run across all the sights, only I was nervous.

"It didn't feel real until we were in holland and just started walking."

Planning on spending just £400 a month each - on food and by and large beer - they have walked roughly 25 miles a day with a seventy litre rucksack each, filled with just a couple of items of clothing and lots of camera gear.

Sleeping in tents or at the homes of farmers they have met along the manner, who have invited them in for a shower, repast and even offered to launder their dress, Harry says the kindness they accept received has been "overwhelming".

He added: "The amount of people who have helped us along this journey already has been incredibly moving and overwhelming and has actually restored my faith in humanity.

"We accept received so much kindness from random people in every single town we take passed through."

And then far, they accept travelled 1,200 miles and are currently meandering through Slovenia.

And while they have already had bumps, blisters and bruises on the mode, Harry said it has been worthwhile, with many of the spectacular vistas leaving him speechless.

He said: "Southern Bohemia was the place that stuck out the most for us. Every window is open up, there are flowers everywhere.

"In that location are castles all over. It was almost romantic.

"And even though we take been fighting blisters on our anxiety, it'south just been so beautiful."

So far, they have endured extreme temperatures throughout their walk, including brutal near 40 degree lord's day in Prachatice, Czechia, and freezing common cold rain in Rheinsteig, Germany, where temperatures dipped to effectually eight degrees.

Harry said: "The atmospheric condition has been quite vicious as it's been a very hot summer."

One of the perks of the trip has been the enormous variety of lagers, ales and pilsners they have enjoyed toasting their wonderful journey with.

Elliot is a student said they accept enjoyed a beer on all but three days, so far, downing more than 165 pints between them.

His favourite tipple to appointment has been a refreshing Chodovar black beer which he drank in Chodová Planá in Czech Republic.

He said: "Nosotros expected to come across incredible sights, but we've been fifty-fifty more than amazed past the beers we have tried on this trip.

"We haven't actually got drunk, only nosotros have boozer a lot of beer.

"We've simply had 3 occasions when we didn't drink, equally it was impossible to notice beer where nosotros were in Germany and Austria on Sundays!"
